SELYAM

Selyam is a Crimean Tatar restaurant located on a pedestrian street in Kyiv, with a seating capacity of almost 200 people, it has two levels, several separate halls and a terrace with access to the courtyard. We see the Selyam project as a home, inspired by villas and the philosophy of Axel Vervoordt's studio: simple walls, fabrics with a pronounced texture, and textured old wood. Tactility is of utmost importance here. The fullness of the decor adds soul to the space and breathes into it the personality of the owners, in our case it was a collective image of a Crimean Tatar or Krymla, which, of course, will never be correct, authentic and canonical, but aren't our imperfections what makes us alive?
